Terms of Booking & Booking Deposit


By placing a booking with us (Equa Reef Maldives) you and your booking party agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.

To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 16 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different to the

lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance, this deposit amount is will be showing the booking confirmation page.
Deposit payments must be 'cleared funds' before a booking can be confirmed. Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set-out here within.

Payments can be made by bank transfer, cheque or cash deposit. Any charges raised against us by our banks for handling dishonored cheque's, bank transfers or any other payments, must be reimbursed by the guest within Ten (10) working days of any request to do so.

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbors and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honoring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbors or the owners.

Booking deposit

In order to confirm a booking, a deposit worth 50% of the total booking amount. If you book within a period of 30 days before the date of arrival the full booking amount must be paid by bank transfer. Once the booking deposit is received the booking will be valid and you will receive a written confirmation email. The remaining amount (50%) must be paid upon check out.

 

Cancellation

In case of cancellation the following conditions apply regardless of the reason for the cancellation. We urge you to ensure a reliable travel and / or cancellation insurance. You must be informed of a cancellation in writing (via email). You will receive an email within 24 hours to confirm.

In case of cancellation up to 30 days before date of arrival: refund of 30 % of the booking deposit from 29 days to 0 days before date of arrival:

no refund of the booking deposit + Charging 50 % of the balance If you decide to cancel, once on site, you will not receive any refund and need to pay 50% of the cost for the remaining booked days.

 

Free WiFi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy

Where free WiFi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests.

The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is not prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.

 

Damages & Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs. Lost key will incur a replacement charge per key lost (per lost key $50).

Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.

 

Smoking & Alcoholic Beverage

Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, snuff or chewing tobacco, is only allowed in designated areas as sign posted throughout the accommodation and is in accordance with the Health Act 2006. According to the government law the alcohol is no permitted in the local area.

 

Pets & Service Dogs

We do not accept pets and dogs according to the government law.

 

Parking

Where on-site parking is provided guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

 

Your Personal Details & Privacy

We are required to fill a registration card of guests who stay with us, this includes full names and nationality, and/or passport numbers, place of issue, details of next destination. This is in accordance with the (Immigration and Maldives Polices (Hotel records) Order 1972). These records are kept in the hotel data.

Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through this website / or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy which you can read here.

You accept that any entries you make to an on-site guest book, if available, will not contain personal information or details you would not want disclosed.

 

Our Right to Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.

Additional Information

Equa Reef Maldives is located in Addu Atoll Feydhoo, the southern most of the Atolls in the Maldives. Feydhoo can be reached by flight to Gan International Airport from the capital Male’ by domestic flight or by International flight from Sri Lanka direct to Gan.

 

Sri Lankan airline fly to Gan International airport from Colombo three flights a week.

 

On arrival to Gan a 5 minutes Taxi ride to hotel, Taxi will cost USD 10per way (maximum 4 person) from Gan Airport to hotel.

 

Guests arriving from Male' Velaana International Airport, Equa Reef Maldives will arrange a round-trip flight from Malé Velaana International Airport to Gan Island Airport.

 

Domestic flight services operate on a daily schedule. Guests arriving Malé after 10:30 PM will need to find overnight accommodation at the Airport Hotel or in Malé since further flights are not available from that time until early morning. Under such circumstance the transfer from Malé International Airport to Equa Reef Maldives will be arranged for the following day.

·     USD 92 infant (02 years below) round trip 
·     Child below 2 years. No seat and No baggage allowance for the infant. 

 

Please note that guests must advise arrival and departure flight details to the Maldives at the time of booking, at least 3 days prior to arrival. All additional costs are to be paid directly to the property.

 

The above flight rates are only available for bookings made through Equa Reef Maldives.

 

Breakfast is available daily and includes continental or local. The accommodation offers sun bed area. Guests at Equa Reef Maldives will be able to enjoy activities in and around the atoll, like cycling.

 

By booking with us you have agreed to these Terms and Conditions
